Mexican boxer Pedro Guevara captured the WBC Interim Super Flyweight (115 lbs) World Title in Perth, defeating former WBA Super Flyweight World Champion Andrew Moloney via split decision in an outstanding contest.
At 34, Guevara (42-4-1, 22 KOs) faced 33-year-old Moloney (26-4-0, 16 KOs) in the co-main event of the card headlined by Vasiliy Lomachenko vs George Kambosos for the IBF Lightweight World Championship. Moloney started strong, but Guevara adjusted in the fourth and fifth rounds, targeting the body and convincing two of three judges. Scorecards: 115-113 twice for Guevara, 116-113 for Moloney.
The pride of Mazatlán, Sinaloa became a world champion for the second time in his professional career.

I also had the privilege of personally coaching YUNGBLUD during his boxing training. What made the experience especially memorable was not only the training itself, but the conversations we shared about boxing, life, personal growth, and the positive impact the sport can have on mental health. Seeing firsthand how passionate he was about learning and how seriously he embraced the discipline of boxing was incredibly rewarding.
Following our session, YUNGBLUD expressed how much he enjoyed the experience and told me it was one of the best training sessions he had ever had. Hearing that from an artist who has worked with world-class professionals around the world was a proud moment in my coaching career.
Our conversations reinforced something I strongly believe in: boxing is much more than learning how to fight. It builds confidence, discipline, resilience, self-respect, and mental strength. These are the same values that I strive to teach every athlete, client, and member of the CUBOX community.
